Chelsea 0 – 2 Manchester United [FA Cup]

Another win in London as we beat cup holder Chelsea to progress to the 6th round of the FA Cup. We’ll face Wolverhampton Wanderers away which will be played on 16 March 2019.

Paul Pogba was brilliant, while Chris Smalling, Nemanja Matic and Sergio Romero were special performers. But Ander Herrera was definitely man of the match!

Bring on Liverpool next weekend!

Manchester United 2 – 0 Reading [FA Cup]

It wasn’t “another day at the office” as Ole Gunnar Solksjaer made 9 changes to the squad and field a team that technically hasn’t work together. No fluidity like the first 4 games under him but some individual brilliance saves the day and bring us to the next round of FA Cup.

It’s not all gloom though as there are some positives too:

  • We score 2 and concede 0. It means 2 clean sheet and 5 wins out of 5 under the caretaker manager.
  • Matteo Darmian looking like a central defender while Sergio Romero is probably the best reserve goalkeeper in the league.
  • Romelu Lukaku scores 3 games in a row after Christmas break. It looks like Ole’s assessment of his striking techniques actually helps.
  • We give another youth the first senior team game to Tahith Chong.
