Sir Alex related Links and Some Other Goodness

I found this rare emotional interview of Sir Alex at The Sun titled I’m Scared to Quit Football. Some excerpts:

“Three things can make me stop. 1. My health. 2. If I don’t take pleasure any more. 3. If I don’t have the strength for new challenges any more.

“Today, I am playing the penalty shoot-out of my managerial career. I know that. The rest is decided between me and me.

On leading star players:

“I want them to think of the history of their family. To carry the values of their class. Being from the working class today is facing a world full of technology and comfort that you can’t afford.”

He also mention how Sir Bobby Robson is the perfect example of a football coach, some comments on Roy Keane and Cristiano Ronaldo illustrious career at Manchester United, and Van Der Sar kisses all his team-mates when he beat the unbeaten record for a goalkeeper.

Take a look by yourself the full interview here. Sir Alex is a Total Legend.

On other SAF’s news, he confirmed that he support the idea of home-produced players proposing by FIFA. He said:

“All countries should get round a table and agree that you should not lose the impact of youth on your club. You need to bring them through a system and you need to give them their opportunity.

“If you don’t all the money spent on youth academies is a waste of time. You must encourage development in your own football club.”

Please educate me if i’m wrong. Mancunians can and will always say they support their childhood club, as Manchester United is their local club. As an international Manchester United fan, I don’t know the ‘exact feeling’ of seeing local lads gets their opportunity to shine in their home club, in a club with global appeal as massive as Manchester United.  Although, the more i learn about the history of our club, the more i appreciate that.

Mind you, I don’t watch World Cup football because i don’t know which team i support, so i’m a bit frustrated to hear this idea at heart. I’m afraid we will lose some of its magic if Blatter and his gang finally secure ’six-plus-five’ proposal. To local club is the pride and the long term wealth, to the same old Blatter it’s politic. I don’t know man, i hate that guy and that prick Platini. So i am bias towards his ideas…

But hey, in Sir Alex i trust…

On some other goodness, Terry Venables hails Nemanja Vidic as his Player of The Year, and our own Ryan Giggs as the runner up. While Johny Evans is his favorite Young Player of The Year.

That’s it for now, see you on upcoming FA 6th round. It’s Craven Cottage and Fulham is brilliant at home this season. With all due respect to the home side performance, I expect a bumpy ride. But i am confident enough to say we can pass them tonight. Sorry.

Reds army marching on!
