INJURED United striker Wayne Rooney has been named Barclays Player of the Month with former United ace Mark Hughes taking the manager’s award.

Manchester United striker Rooney, 22, scored four goals in just three matches to be named Player of the Month - although he will not get the chance to reclaim his crown after suffering an ankle injury which will keep him out for the rest of November and beyond.
