From 4thegame i understand that our no. 1 goal keeper Edwin Van Der Sar has retired from International Football. He revealed this after his team Holland crashed out from European tournament in the hand of his old boss Gus Hiddink’s Rusia. Anyhow he’ll be playing another season for Manchester United before planning to hang his gloves.
Edwin Van Der Sar has been the best goal keeper since Peter Schmeicel. Even though we have some young second and third choice lining up to be his replacement, it will be hard to replace him and he will be forever in my mind for his saves that brought us Champions League Cup last season and countless other great saves.
I sincerely hope he can retire at high, since his team have the opportunity to compete in 7 fronts next season.
Thank you Edwin Van Der Sar, you’re a legend already.
