Court Red-Cards SA Man for Man United Fakes

I think this is familiar to you as well.

Pretoria High Court has interdicted a Johannesburg businessman from infringing on the registered trademarks of Manchester United Football Club by passing off counterfeit goods, including soccer sets, as the genuine article.

Manchester United plc, the UK-based company which is the registered proprietor of the Manchester United Football Club logo and related items, obtained the interdict against Dhanpal Naiker.

The offending goods were seized by the taxman on March 6 at OR Tambo airport. The UK company stated that the Manchester United logos on the goods were identical to the Manchester United trade marks, which could create confusion among the public. The counterfeit goods also proved to be of inferior quality, the court heard.

Of course this is not only happened to Manchester United. I work at the boardriding industry and we also have problems with these fake producers. They thought they were businessman.

Stupid.
