His Future is in Spanish Football

Thoughts, players May 24th, 2008

I just watch the replay of the Moscow drama, i still get ghosebumps. I feel it and I’m glad. Soon after feeling the glorious moment for God knows how many times in the last 4 days, i connected to the internet and was checking my feed reader and found passionate Red Rant’s post Revisiting the Ronaldo Debate.

This post was actually written as a comment on that post, but then i realize, when i push the ‘Submit Comment’ button, mine will be in the first row from who know how long the list of comments will be seeing the hotness of this topic.

However, I just don’t want to fill a big blog with a lot of followers like Red Rants with my angry statement. It’s embarrassing. So, since i pay all the bill to keep this blog Reds Conspiracy running, i felt i am going to post my original comment here. At least, if i’m wrong, i embarrassed myself in my own home :D.

To resume the post, i assume that the following excerpt is the key to the whole paragraph:

Ronaldo has never made secret, his intention to play in Spain someday. Also, ever since we won the Champions’ League he has been interviewed by almost every journalist in the European Union. So it really is hard answering the same questions put to him over and over again.

What is worrying about this trend though is that there have been too many contradicting remarks to the same questions. In some of them he says “I’ll stay” and in others it’s “I can’t promise” or “I’ll know next week”.

My question is this: why does Ronaldo have second thoughts about staying at the club for another season, at least? What does he want from the club? If it’s a big pay day, didn’t he just sign the contract last season? If it was for his ‘dream’, how difficult is it for a moment, especially amidst the euhoria of wining the CL trophy, to say that he’s staying just to assure fans, because they rightly deserve it.

There you go. Read the bold red letters. The fans beg him to stay, and i believe this is not only a small portion of Reds. To be honest, deep down inside, i do beg him to stay. I know it’s somehow worthy, if only next year Ronaldo can play, if not contribute to the team, as good as this season.

So here’s my thought as a respon to the passionate post from Red Rants:

Sorry to fill the first comment this way but this is what i really feel since his bully statements totally ruining the party. We’ve been waiting for this moment for such a long time and finally make it. Finally, we’re European Champions. Again.

However, lately Ronaldo’s attitude (boldly judged from his statements) has been like, i’m the one who take the club to all great things this season, now i’m bringing it to another place.

I also sick of people and media who talk about his ‘future’ in Spain after learn all the best thing of modern football in OT. It’s like, we prepare for his future in Real Madrid. WTF? It’s totally rubbish.

Now is his future, he’s at his prime!

The more he act like this, the more i confident that Reds can go on without him, as fast as next season. Of course, if he stay, our chances to win even more is bigger.

All in all, he’s the same lad that dodge Rooney in the world cup. He don’t change.

Thanks Ronnie for confusing me.

I’m going to add a little more recipe to the menu. If anyone saw Ronaldo’s interview on TV soon after failed to take the penalty which almost cost the title the Reds won the Champions League, he was talking about himself. But then Anderson came and scream to the camera, suddenly, he changed his words from ‘I’ to ‘us’, ‘the lads deserve the trophy’ blah blah blah…

I know, he’s young and i’m so lame to boldly judge the best footballer in the world who has contribute so much to the club i love by this very end. But hey, even all hard long Chelsea’s season decided spectacularly by penalties (and banana :-D).

Life sucks, you will be judged by your last call, no matter how good (or bad) you are.

champions Thoughts on The Kings of Europe

I was tempted not to post anything after the Champions League win. Soon after the game finished, i browsed around the world wide web, reading all those beautiful coverage of the Kings of Europe. You know, you think you have it ‘enough’.

I watched the game LIVE on TV anyway so i don’t discover anything new, which include:

  1. Chelsea players didn’t feel to lose. Hold on. Yo blues. Do you read the text in the medal you received carefully. Does it written that you were the winners? Hah?.
  2. The haters is already talking about next year. Next year is going to be ours, we’ll beat you blah blah blah. Dude. They think they are the only ones who have next year plans. Yeah see you next year, but now it’s all about Reds.

Dude, the feeling to see the win was fantastic, even though it’s all the same stories. In the last 24 hours, it’s all about Manchester United in about everywhere. World wide web, TV, papers; name it.

However, one of the best thing of having a blog and blog about what i love, is that i am able to use the posts to discover what i do, including my past, present and future feelings. It’s a cool way to remembering the good time and bad times. It’s more likely to be a personal journal, that anyone else in the world with internet connection, can also read. So, i decide to post some of my thoughts.

Here we go. The Final Of Champions League 2007-2008; Manchester United VS Chelsea.

Whatever…

First things first; the bad things.

  1. Important lad that was missing in the cloud of Reds: Ji Sung Park. You’re another unsung hero!
  2. Ronaldo’s statement regarding his future. He’s an egoistic maniac and totally ruin the party. I don’t think he will ever change. He’s the same lad who ask the referee to card Rooney at the World Cup. I bet Tevez will score more goals if he leaves! But, let’s leave it to Sir Alex.
  3. That Ivorian thug, who again had his clashes with Vidic whom successfully kept him under his pocket throughout the game. Drogba, you’re a fucking idiot!
  4. I don’t understand why, when shots that hit the post labeled as ‘unlucky’. Here’s my thought on that. The shots are just not good enough that it don’t end at the goal. So to me it’s not unlucky, it’s not good enough. Period.’

Now the good part. The F***ing Win. Yesss!

Oh man the game was freaking tight. I watch the first goal with pride. You know, it’s good to see Wesley Brown can finally pass the ball ‘right’ on such important occassion, and that boy Ronaldo finished it off with style. His first goal against Chelsea. Several minutes after the goal, Reds find it hard to stop bombing the blue side of the pitch. It was maginificent long pass from Rooney after dispossessing a Chelsea striker passed through the right foot of Ronaldo. He then passed it right to Tevez followed by the awesome move by the big Chelsea goal keeper. However the clearance ball from Chelsea defender was only as far as Carrick that shot and only the great reflect of Cech keep Chelsea stays on the game. Came late at the first half, an equaliser came after Essien shot, which bounces from Vidic and Ferdinand, that lead the ball to unmarked Lampard. Edwin Van Der Sar slipped in the vital moment, another Chelsea ugly goal came, 1-1!

The second half, Chelsea played like a different team. But we have our chances and our defensive players were just wonderful.

The game went to extra time. As always, extra times are just awful for me. It was 20 tired lads running around to chase 1 ball that moves around the pitch. Nervy, as Chelsea have their moments. But again we passed it well. However, Giggsy almost brings us Champions League title early, after super cool run by Evra, but Terry’s super reflect header was awesomely denied the United legend to score his first Champions League final goal.

In the end, after no signs of a winner, penalty shoot out was even worst. I felt like i was going to pee in my pant everytime another Reds took on penalty. However, Ronaldo failed penalty was covered by Terry’s miss. He had the chance for glory, but weirdly enough, the score were back levelled. The next taker was Giggsy. He brought Chech the wrong way. He score. Level! Then there came the decisive moment, when Nicholas ‘the always rejecting Reds’ Anelka step up to the ball, only to be denied our own EDWIN VAN DER SAR.

That’s it. We’re crowned. The Champions of Europe.

Oh yeah you Reds!

Should Ronaldo Leave English Premier League?

Thoughts, coach, players, premiership March 10th, 2008

Well that’s a tough question regarding his ‘desire’ to play Real Madrid. The talented lad was reported scared to display his talents as refs don’t give him decent protection against professional thuggery in English football.I stopped by to this article earlier today and might say i must agree to some way that Ron’s plan (read: reason) to leave English football might come to reality sooner than expected. There are also some accidents that FA should look back as regards to professional thuggery alongside EPL, check out user comments, to be exact comment #12. The list could go longer if FA not take immediate action to this and put everyone’s pocket in harm.

Is this going to be a downfall of EPL? It might, as SAF & Carloz VS FA rows continue, i would say that FA should think about it and do some correct decision to save the English Premier League and retain the status to be the best League in the world.

Please save EPL.

So to forget, We’re Through to The Last 8!

SAF, Thoughts, champions league March 7th, 2008

I’ve been a self employed for about a month and since i quit my daily job to become a full time internet entrepreneur i keep building websites. That keep me busy that i don’t update this blog so much lately. The good thing about working at home is that i have more flexible working time and am loving it.

Since the time difference between Europe and the place where i live, in my corporate working days, i keep passing LIVE games. But now, since i can work in more free time, i watch almost ALL European football game. I even watch UEFA cup game which i never did.

So that is the good news. Now back to Manchester United. I agree that SAF was tinkering instead of being one of tactical genius in footbal. But with that performance display by the lads, are we sure we’re eyeing treble this season?

I know. We won ugly and a win is a win and maybe my thoughts influenced by spectacular win by the gooners at San Siro, which was any other English clubs hasn’t done as yet (Arsenal? English club?) and Chelsea’s embarrassment of Fenerbahce. But don’t you think it was a bad team selection?

Since this has been going for a while, I am now believe, i can expect to see this ‘tactical genius’ applied to our future games.

Reds Fans be ready to not take things too seriously. Oh i almost forget. We are through to the last 8 of the 2008-2009 Champions League.

Reds Marching stronger than ants.

Thrashing Gooners

Thoughts, fixtures, players February 17th, 2008

Last week’s home game against City was a huge disappointment to all Manchester United fans when we were beaten by city rival Manchester City. The lads honoured by wearing the Busby Babe’s uniform but can’t help themselves to put anyone (anyone whatsoever except Carrick with his late goal) in the field for a glory. That super awful game made my hangover more painful.

Yes. I am having a huge hang over in the last couple of weeks after decided to withdraw myself from my daily job. In the other side, I am happy to successfully keeping myself off unnecessary and useless office politicians. So I try to keep myself busy on my new projects and entrepreneurial priorities that leads no Manchester United posts whatsoever in almost 2 weeks.
I never expect (i think no Reds fans does, given that massive scoreline gap) that the next home game is going to be a heart cheering moment. Yeah. Beating Gooners 4-0 with our second tire players is not that bad.

Really.

Eat that El Capitano!

We Should Lose To Spurs

Thoughts, fixtures February 3rd, 2008

I missed the LIVE game for the second time this year because of broken cable TV decoder. The first was when i took family vacation when we got our first big win against Wigan. This time, i didn’t miss the LIVE report from BBC live chat report. It’s fun actually if you have nothing to choose. If you watch a game live, then you know what to expect, (the chat page automatically refreshes every 2 minutes) but at live text report, you can expect the unexpected.

As again proven, we too much are depending on Ronaldo. When he had bad games, we have bad results. This must change if we seriously into more titles this season instead of selling merchandise and goodies that particularly endorsed by one single star player.

As SAF continue to has his ‘headache’ on team selection, he is again proven wrong by left Anderson at the bench and only start to play him when the game reach 55 minutes mark. His arrival was late but yet make his impact along with other fresh legs Nani and Carrick. Rooney again showed his weakness mentally and he urgently needs to improve.

Of course we can’t win every games but with our inconsistent play and player rotation ‘headache’ SAF has, i don’t think we can’t even retain the Premiership title. And SAF, please don’t blame officials for your mistake.

Oh, thanks for Tevez as again proven as Hotspurs killer.

Small Thin Line Between Fans and Vandals

Thoughts January 23rd, 2008

This fan has learned that United Chief, David Gill’s, house was vandalized, that triggered by controversial AIG logo placement at Munich’s commemoration that fans complained.

From what i know, there are several ideas that is not ideal if you run a football club as big as Manchester United. Of course reds fans can have love and hate relationship with American club’s owners, and noone will stop the fans to express their feeling about it.

But, this act by vandalizing Gill’s house will never acceptable even in such bad times. It’s a criminal act rather than supporting the club act. They can harm Gill’s family, what if someone do that to your family?

This is disgusting!

Update on other team:
Gooners sinked by city rival Spurs 1-5. You must see those big headed Gooners youngsters’ face after the defeat! They thought they own the world. Ouch. Oh we have to face that brilliant Spurs at home this weekend. Another tough game i suppose.

Thoughts ahead of the Game against Reading

Thoughts January 19th, 2008

In less than 24 hour, we will play against Reading at Madjeski stadium. They have never ever beat United, but history plays small part in modern football in terms of predicting, but can somehow can motivate a great deal on the weaker team (remember when we lost against Bolton?). I’m sure Reading fans won’t warm welcome United and their hero team manager who were once wore United number 7, will giving out all he know tactically on how to beat United.

In team news, i’ve learned that duo Hargreaves & Brown would be back on the team list. This will make SAF relatively easier to put stronger team selection than our last game against Toons. Don’t get me wrong, stronger doesn’t mean that we will crush Reading more than 6 goals deficit because they are of course stronger and way more motivated than last week’s Newcastle managerless players that we can beat six-nil at OT.

Of course this will be a hard weekend for our team, but i am sure that we are able to pass another big test if we can find our rhyme like we always do on our glorious days.  Let’s get the win to stay on top (gooners won’t score enough to close the gap) and continue to march on retaining our title.

Come on. Reds marching on.

Let’s Beat The Toons, Shall We?

Thoughts, fixtures, other teams January 10th, 2008

As we all know, the world wide web has filled with the news of Big Sam’s departure from Newcastle United. This happen only 3 days ahead of the clash against Reds in Old Trafford, and left my mind a conspirated question.

We have love and hate relationship with newly appointed club managers. Last time out, we beat Chelsea at the first Avan Grahm’s match in English Premier League. But we also beaten by West Ham in the first set of Alan Curbishley’s 3 wins in the row to United.

From those last 2 match, i found 2 scenario:

1. West Ham was underperformed and gain spirit by the new manager.

2. Chelsea was doing fine and their spirit killed because of the departure of Jose Mourinho.

So, could we repeat the success of beating Chelsea?
I must say this will lead to the third option:

3. Newcastle United is an underperformed club, that continue to do wrong that they need to find the 8th manager for the last 11 years. What they know is, sacking managers is the way out, like their previous managers that lead into longer list of Newcastle United sacking managers.

Yes. I am positive that this will be another lost for Newcastle. With our recent form, i think we can beat them. I believe they have lost the match before it begin.

Let’s beat the Toons, and gain more previous 3 points.

Reds Marching On!

We Should Not Win Every Games, We Just Need More Titles

Support, Thoughts January 2nd, 2008

To be honest i was skeptical about how our season will ends until i read this post.

As Cantona says, great teams also lost games, but not as much as bad teams. I don’t think our team can describe as ‘bad’ team. I know we demand so much to the team not to mention the full pack Old Trafford crowds that spend money on high ticket price. I know the feeling because i also pay for hosts, domain and internet connection to keep this blog running try to express my support to our team. Not to mention my time lost that i can spend for my family or do another money worth projects.

But give the lads a break, this is new year. We finished second from the top at end year of 2007 while we start 2nd from bottom. I regain my beliefs that we can win more titles this season. I’ll bet on this.
