International Match Day & Liverpool Game

RRR, fixtures September 8th, 2008

The days would have been better if there’s no international football. Don’t get me wrong, but hell, i dislike international football! Not only because my country will never get into the spolights and still have nothing good to talk about, but hey club football is where my interest goes.

I used to be an England supporter but the more i follow the game, the more i figure out that too many non football s**t has been involved and England, i’m not sure if they can go beyond qualifications, group stages, quarters and semis in all competitions. So, well, you know, what more can i say.

Apology for all biases covered here in Manchestered.com, but hey this is a Manchester United fan blog.

However, our team is build upon international footballers. Like always, our players are seen in international stages. Some roundup below:

  1. Tevez was red carded at Argentina’s draw to Paraguay. Heinze helped Paraguay by smashes his own goalkeeper (more like Kaka’s goal at Old Trafford in 2006/2007’s CL when he collided with Evra) and let the ball went to their own goal.
  2. Patrice Evra was featured at France’s 1-3 lost to Austria.
  3. New boy Berbatov featured at Bulgaria’s draw.
  4. Vidic was in the Serbian squad lead them a 2-0 win against Faroe Islands.
  5. Johny Evans was in the Northern Ireland’s defeated squad in Slovakia.
  6. Darren Fletcher was in the Scotland side beaten 0-1 by Macedonia.
  7. Wayne was in the England winning side while Wes Brown sat on the bench and Rio was out for injury (no more news about how bad his injury is… hope he’s ready for the Scousers!).
  8. John O Shea was at the center back position where his Republic of Ireland side beat Georgia 2-1.

Enough about internationals, now back to the important matters. As we all know, next week we’ll travel to Anfield, Liverpool. There’s always massive rivalries between the 2 sets of teams against each other. Liverpool has shown their lack of inconsistencies for the whole season, year by year, but not against us. Their captain ‘wishes us to die’, so we will hoping a super hostile atmosphere thrown by home supporters, as always.

In the good side i’m hoping for a Berbatov debut in Anfield and faces his former Tottenham’s hero Robbie Keane. Cannot wait for the Liverpool game, really. This is one of the most massive game in all season. More details on players should be announced in the next few days but the wait for Berba’s debut is super exciting.

Enough with the boring international weekend, exciting days is ahead of us!

Small Bits of Strange News

RRR September 3rd, 2008

Hate Strange News:

  1. We sealed Berbatov in the last minute. Heard rumors that SAF himself drove Berba from Manchester airport with his Bentley. Later Sparky
  2. Newcastle has sacked Kevin Keegan. I do think his ‘Messiah’ status is overrated. But heck, NUFC’s board is weird!
  3. Manchester City is reportedly ready to lure Cristiano Ronaldo from Red to Blue side of Manchester. I have learnt from last summer long Ronaldo transfer saga, so don’t really care about this. But if it happens that’ll be another funny crazy attempt of EPL side trying to buy short term success (Remember a guy name Roman Abramovich?). But who knows anyway.
  4. Some Chelsea fans are now convert and supporting Manchester City. Football fans People can be funny sometimes. If you’ve been around Reds Conspiracy for a while, you may remember this past post.
  5. Torres is sidelined. Tactical from Benitez ahead of our Anfield clash? Not really i guess, he’s injured. As well as Gerrard :D
  6. Man City, who tried to take on Berbatov in the last minute also interested on David Villa and Mario Gomez. We may hear the rich owners wants Kaka, Fabregaz, etc, in the future. Just like any pre Real Madrid’s presidential election.
  7. Larsson ruled out Premiership switch. Awesome. Big fan of him!
  8. Oh i almost forget, Man City signed Robinho. Kenyon burnt :D

Conclusion of today: Man City is the new Chelsea (but richer).

Reds Related Roundup

RRR July 19th, 2008

Been a while since my last Reds Related Roundup. But news are flowing through the world wide web and there are some interesting things going on relating to Manchester United.

  1. Soccerlens : Is Sepp Blatter a Marxist?
  2. United legend Gary Pallister: Speak Up Ronaldo!
  3. Manchester Evening News: Saha misses African Tour (again?)
  4. The Boss is confident that Owen Hargreaves will be fit at the start of the season.
  5. Spurs’s chief blasts Fergie (at least we table the money…).

Do i miss something? Oh yeah.

Clichy (Arsenal defender) compare Robin Van Persie with Ronaldo. Ok, i admit Robin Van Persie is scary. He netted some goals to our team. But comparing him to Ronaldo? Ehhh… Is this a wrong English translation from the French defender quote or what?

Anyway, have a great weekend.

SAF is back, New Chelsea Website and a BS Detector for Michel Platini

RRR, other teams July 3rd, 2008

I have 3 updates:

  1. Sir Alex is back to work and the media is pushing him more about another possible departure from the team. This time is No.2 Queiroz. Oh no. But it’s SAF, i can relax.
  2. Chelsea has launched a new redesign of their website which i think is cool. Although, that URL complex structure annoys me.
  3. I found a tool that best describe Platini’s useless comment on Ronaldo saga below. He’s detected!

Have a good day.

Thoughts Ahead of FA Cup Clash

RRR, news, players January 6th, 2008

As always, i get this nervousity ahead of Manchester United’s game. Whomever we face, i always get this mixed up feelings. But i am sure our team will do their best to get into the 4th round like we did last year.

However, the world wide web has so much interesting things to say (you’ll reach the best part, scroll down):

1. Manchester United have received further positive injury news with reports that Mikael Silvestre and Ben Foster are making steady recoveries (Team Talk).

2. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has dismissed as fabrication reports linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a world record move to Real Madrid (4 The Game).

3. Wayne Rooney has revealed how he thrives off the challenge of wearing the famous No.10 shirt (Sky Sports). Thoughts Ahead of FA Cup Clash

4. Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has ruled out making any new signings during the January transfer window. Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov and Rangers defender Alan Hutton have been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, while Real Madrid have reportedly made Cristiano Ronaldo their top target (Daily Mail & ManUtd.org).

5. This is the best that i can found today. It’s from ManUtdPies: Becks dresses like Gooners!!!!!!!!!! Well, i don’t blame him eventhough i hate to see United legend dresses like that (duh!). Maybe he’s too scared to ask SAF permission to train in his old training ground, Old Trafford. Whatever. Good luck to Becks. I hope he can retain his place in England National Team.

Gossip, Rumors and News from The World Wide Web Today

RRR, news December 18th, 2007

1. Sir Alex Ferguson is a reluctant mover in the new year sales, but with Manchester United scheduled to announce record profits next month, he will ask the Glazer family to back his team’s title challenge by stumping up the money for a new full back, with Philipp Lahm, of Bayern Munich, his ambitious top target.

2. Park has been out for nine months, but is ready to put his injury nightmare behind him and help United in their push to regain the Premier League crown.

3. UNITED ace Cristiano Ronaldo said he was just pleased to be nominated after coming third behind Brazilian Kaka and Argentina’s Lionel Messi in the FIFA World Player of the Year Awards in Zurich on Monday night.

4. Remembering Heinze: with his dream, i think Ronaldo will not become another United legend but another high paid player that can bring United to another glory in years to come.

5. According to reports over the weekend Manchester United are tracking not one French striker but two as they are following Karim Benzema from Lyon as well as Gabriel Obertan from Bordeaux. Both are hugely promising players, although Benzema is the better known of the pair as a result of his goal scoring exploits in the past 6 months for his current club Lyon as well as his 3 goals in 8 French caps.

6. Is Manchester United The Greatest Soccer Club? I think so. Yes.

Roundup News from The World Wide Web

RRR, news December 14th, 2007

unitedredbear Roundup News from The World Wide WebTo be honest i wasn’t excited with the game at Rome. I didn’t even watch the game, whether it was Live and its excerpts. But i do feel sad to hear that the violence in Italian football continues and another Reds Fans became victims. Hope all is well soon.

But woot! Sunday clash is likely to happen soon. Every Reds fans who watched the game against Liverpool know what is waiting as soon as the team arrive at Anfield. The long history of the Liverpool Football Club that generates super cool fans is no doubt will bring even to the best football squad in the planet to face ‘nightmare’.

Anyhow, ahead of the big game, the world wide web have some cool things to say:

9. And the coolest thing that i can find in the internet today was from ManUtdPies remembering our last year’s win against Scousers, check out the video below. Come on you REDS!
