Rooney Blows for United

champions league, news, players, premiership August 6th, 2008

It’s late night here in Bali and i’m just waking up with a big headache, but i think i found some important updates down here.

Rooney might be out injured, while Anderson serving Brazil is at the Olympics, Nani serve his suspension and Ronaldo is still in recovery after his ankle injury. Sure we have Tevez, Carrick, Sholesy, Giggs, Hargo and everyone else at the team but the first game of 08/09 game is very near. It’s not a comfortable news though since we’ll face Juventus for the last pre-season friendly match followed by title celebration, facing Portsmouth in the Charity Shield and start the season with a match against Newcastle. So i really hope Rooney can get well soon.

However, i’ve just realized that our double silverware celebration last season was covered the Celtic chaotic fans that made the local police hold the title parade and of course by Ronaldo saga whole summer long. But now everything seems so much clearer (minus our several 1st teamer out for various reasons) the new season will soon get started and everyone seems to focus on that. And least but not last, SAF confirmed the Ronaldo saga is over. So, i do think this will be a good time to celebrate our Champions League and Premiere League winners celebration now, not a month ago. Consider the last 4-5 weeks as a holiday for most of the squad until finishing 10 months of busy competitions in high.

Maybe it’s all in the agenda of God. He blesses the Red Devils.

Come on you reds.

Drawn with Kaizer Chefs, SAF Hit Back at Levy

SAF, match results, players, premiership July 20th, 2008

Manchester United drawn 1-1 against Kaizer Chefs, yesterday at Vodacom Challenge in South Africa. Young Chris Eagles scored the equalizer in the 59th minute.

On other news, Sir Alex had hit back to Spurs’ boss Daniel Levy:

It will be “very embarrassing” for Tottenham if they decide to carry out their threat to report Manchester United to the Premier League. But you know what Daniel Levy is like. He’s different.

Sir Alex maintains he never mentioned anyone by name when he revealed they had tabled a bid for a player.

Ferguson claims his remarks were misreported by a national newspaper and that United may now bring in their legal team.

Ha ha Levy.

That Was It The First Finale, We’re Champions!

premiership May 12th, 2008

grant That Was It The First Finale, Were Champions!Despite the slow start of this season, in the end we clinch the title again. 2 in a row, 10 for SAF & Giggsy and 17 for the club in total. I think we deserve the win goddammit, because the best whole season long team win and that was Reds.

To wrap today’s game, Ronaldo play it cool, Giggsy close his season in style, the back four as always superb and all team and staffs have done super cool job.

And to wrap the season, we’re champions by point, not by playoff.

Don’t drink all champagne yet, we got one more finale to go in 10 days. See you in Moscow…!

Come on you Reds!

2 More Wins and We Get the Double

Support, fixtures, heroes, premiership, stupidity May 4th, 2008

So we hammered the Hammers today with convincing 4-1 win. In short, we scored 3 at the first half (Ronaldo, Ronaldo, Tevez), conceded 1 brilliant goal (I must say) from Dean Ashton, a fully deserved red card for Nani, and Carrick finished it off (with a little help from Hammer’s El Capitano) with his long range shot at the second half.

I think we played very well (and Hammers play totally awful) despite there were 10 lads left in the red part of the field, but we surely secure one hand on this season’s Premiership title and given back all the pressure to Ballack and his blue shirt friends.

But, despite the big win, our talking point is Nani (mine at least). Somehow he ruined our day. However, I think we need to look back on how this once great start as reds now continually ruined our days on watching reds.

Well, all I can remember was, ever since he got labeled as tinkerer by Wenger, (which SAF also agree, I don’t know why…) on our 4-0 win against Gooners in the FA Cup, the lad’s performance seems to go nowhere but down. Today was even worse. As SAF said ‘we’ll deal with that’ on his post match interview today (most of us know what that means), I think I will take a moment to send the lad all sympathy and support as he would probably one of our future star in the making along with Anderson.

Furthermore, I remember 2-3 years ago watching Reds. I can’t remember that Ronaldo has ever did that many good job for the team. The main reason why I remember the lad was because he wear the number 7 shirt. So I don’t think he had a good start in the Red uniform as good as Nani in his first season. I mean, look at Ronaldo now. Most of the time he’s our Messiah, and he has score 41 goals already with 2 more games to go. Given this situation, I think we should consider that Nani’s first already ended season as Reds is not bad at all. Earlier, he has proven that he get the talent by scoring goals and play a great part as a team. In today’s game, he is surely buried himself and I’m expecting this as his worst performance ever as Reds.

I admit. My opinion may be different if we lost today’s game. But as ever, the team has shown their maturity and get all the important 3 points. So I must say that his act will be forgiven (but no sooner than the summer break hehehe… you’ll be ‘banned’ kid!).

However, today’s game is another showcase which prove that we have a team that able to accomplish our title ambitions. Our chance to get double silverware is bigger than ever. We need 2 more wins and we can take our cold already champagnes (and all other form of alcoholic beverages) out of the ice boxes. We have no choice but to win the next 2 games.

So come on you Reds!

Drawn at Ewood Park, Title Race is officially Wide Open!

Support, champions league, fixtures, match results, other teams, players, premiership April 20th, 2008

I had the feeling that we will have a hard f*cking match at Ewood Park. I was right. But it’s obvious anyway and seems like we have a syndrom that everytime we will face a Champions League match, we play under par domestically.

I don’t even think that Reds deserve the point until Sparky decided to get his players behind their own half and depend to lone striker Jason Robert to escape from Reds’ torturers. Thanks to Carlos ‘Carlito’ Tevez, we get away with 1 ‘crucial’ point. However, as Rooney become more and more influential to the team, i think his effort to get penalty by diving, while he had the chance to get to the ball behind Blackburn defender, was TOTALLY RUBBISH! He surely did better in many occasions.

So the chance for under par season performers Chelsea to leapfrog us nextweek, just like they did to Arsenal, is at least officially diminished. But if we lose at Stamford Bridge, i do think Chelsea’s chance is bigger than us to end up with EPL silverware. Why? Because I’m still in pain to remember how The Hammers double hammered us last season and they can still do that to us this season. And don’t forget Steve Brucey’s Wigan Athletic has all they get to hold the champions to retain the title. That’s how the ugly grass at the JJB might be the perfect funeral for the champions.

However, that is a worst case scenario from hell and please don’t forget that this is a Manchester United blog goddammit! I think we can beat Chelsea at their homeground even though i will expect brutal expectation from the home crowd. If we see the remaining fixtures, i don’t see the easiest way to retain the title but to beat Chelsea and hold their points.

Furthermore, let’s just forget the ’superior’ goal difference because all we need are points. Pundit’s math is rubbish, this is Manchester United and we always do it the hard way. This season will be no different.

Heck and welfare. Come on you Reds, let’s beat Chelsea.

Forget Stamford Bridge Party, We’re Going to Ewood Park!

fixtures, premiership April 19th, 2008

Some might say that we’re favorites to retain our title this season. Of course, we’re in top form, we lead 2 points from 2nd place Chelsea, we have a game in hand and a superior goal difference.

But do we remember 2 seasons ago when Friedel and The Gang gets double against us? 1-2 at OT and 4-3 at Ewood Park? Mark Huges, the United legend, will not let us get the 3 points easily. In fact, The Reds always have a hard game in Blackburn.

Dude, to me, talking about party at Stamford Bridge next week is rubbish, we haven’t even beat the will-always-hard-fight Sparky’s squad. Come on man, we need the win today. Forget about the party. This is when Reds fans all around the world is expecting the team finish high as the season reaches its end.

We expect glory, not the unexpected.

Come on you Reds, let’s win this game!

Steve Bruce has give us a Favor and Rio still with us!

Steve Bruce, a Manchester United legend, who is now managing Wigan, has give us a favor by held Chelsea at their backyard 1-1. It was last minute equaliser from Heskey that gives the Champion closer to retain their back to back title.

In other good news, Rio Ferdinand, the suposedly Ronaldo main contender on this year’s PFA award, has agreed to pen a new 5 year deal with the club.

I can see that the Reds will going stronger except that SAF and The Gang can’t make the most of the remaining fixtures. I sincerely hope no more experiment line up from the boss, as me and millions of Manchester United fans will love to see we can retain our title this season.

Don’t bother on what Chelsea are doing, what we can do and will do is the most important. That’s how we win the title last season.

Whatever is sweet, as long as we win the title. Come on you Reds!

Manchester United 2 - Arsenal 1

Fun, fixtures, internet, match results, players, premiership April 14th, 2008

This is my 3rd time this season that I miss the LIVE game. Today’s reason is the most retarded among others, the government blocked my cable TV provider since last Friday so there’s no way I can watch tonight’s game.

However this post is not intend to show how pity I am so heck, I follow live text report from BBC so in fact I follow the game LIVE. If you’ve never follow a game via live text, let me tell you how it feels. It feels awful. Simply because you can’t see what’s going on visually and because of that, you will always expect the unexpected every time the page refreshes. But, ever since I use Twitter, this time I don’t feel like I am a retard by following live text report.

Anyhow, from what I read, seems like we’re a bit shaky in the first 20 minutes of the game and Arsenal had 57% of the the ball possession. But dude, we ended it with style by fighting back the gooners and take full points.

I’ll go straight to the most important things, the goals:

47:22 GOAL - Emmanuel Adebayor
Man Utd 0 - Arsenal 1

51:13 GOAL - Cristiano Ronaldo
Man Utd 1 - Arsenal 1

70:03 GOAL - Owen Hargreaves
Man Utd 2 - Arsenal 1

This is to be likely ended Gooners title hopes as we now lead them 9 points and there’s only 4 games left. Come on, we’re not going to lose that much are we? Let’s just hope we don’t.

Come on you Reds!!

Note to sports media: Prepare for Mr. Wenger’s moaning.

Note to BBC: i think you guys should give coveritlive.com or other similar service a try. Your live text report is so 90’s! But thanks!

Reds Almost Sinked at The River Side

fixtures, match results, other teams, premiership April 6th, 2008

As again Middlebrough continue their runs as Giant Killer but struggle with mid table teams. Their performance today has made the Reds looks shakier than ever and lucky by leaving with a point in hand.

Second half equaliser was done by Rooney after a brilliant move by Park at the right side of the field. The Reds secure EPL first place by only 3 points lead ahead 2nd place Chelsea. Superior goal different might not be vital in this stage of the game as Chelsea are famous with their ugly wins that gain vital 3 points.

However Manchester United will face more tricky fixtures toward the end of the season and we need to keep on winning. Many believe (that includes me) that it’s a 2 horse race now between Manchester United and Chelsea. But seems like it’s super a tricky race and injuries might be the key to take us claim another EPL silverware this season.

But this is a Manchester United blog, if i use it to praise other team then i might sold the domain and change it into superfootballpundit.com. So, to continue to support the reds, I believe we can beat Arsenal, West Ham, Blackburn and Wigan. Then a draw will tastes sweet at Stamford Bridge and i don’t even care if the place continue to haunt all visitor teams for 4 years in a row as long as we can be champion.

However, a champion somehow need more than good games, and luck in many times is vital to claim trophies. We’re lucky today not to get beaten. Score today at the River Side: Middlesbrough 2 - Manchester United 2.

Come on you Reds, let’s win more games.

Ronaldo Cool Flick Goal against Aston Villa

best goals, players, premiership, video March 31st, 2008

This boy keep the fan stoked. Sometimes i just think that he has reach his peak and can’t deliver more. But his  first goal by using his oh-so-tricky-flick against Aston Villa just show us the fans that the boy is harder and harder to stop showing his skills. I hope the team gets the double silverware this season, because that way, the current brilliant team form can finish with worthy glories.
