To United fans outside of Manchester it’s probably difficult to understand why local Reds, this one included, get quite so worked up about the derby. After all, it’s only City and when did they last win the title? But for local Reds it’s not about rivalry on the pitch per se, it’s more about silencing the endless repetition of the Blue diatribe, for a few days at least.
