Ole’s First Trophy
match results July 31st, 2008
Manchester United beat Liverpool 3-2 to claim the Lancashire Senior Cup. Soon after the African tour ended, the reserved squad are back into full blown team under United legend Ole Gunnar Solksjaer that win his first competitive game.
Tom Cleverley and David Gray opened the scores both from passes by Frazier Campbell, while Danny Drinkwater closed in to claim the trophy for the first time since 1969.
Ole’s first trophy is bringing back an old memories to the club, just hope that he can achieve so much greatness in his coaching career at United.
Congratulations!
Team list:
Zieler, Gray, Eckersley, Cathcart, Simpson, Chester, Possebon (Drinkwater 46), Gibson, Campbell, Cleverley, Hewson (Evans 88). Unused subs: Derbyshire, Amos, Eikrem.

Carlos Tevez Permanent Deal Will Come?
players July 27th, 2008
Heard rumors about United sealing permanent deal with Carlos Tevez but now it’s official because it’s from the Official Site.
According to ManUtd.com, Chief David Gill revealed that Carlos Tevez will sign a permanent deal with the club before the end of the year.
How cool is that? Am not sure how long the contract will be, but we’ll surely see Carlos Tevez whom hopefully help us to achieve more glories in the next several years.
Tevez will continue wearing reds (except at away games with that terrible shirt, ouch!). But heck, Carlitoz is in our team!
Vodacom Challenge Sealed
match results, players July 27th, 2008
It wasn’t the most intense game i’ve ever see but the youngsters do win 4-0 against Kaizer Chefs today at the Vodacom Challenge. Captain Ryan Giggs score the opener followed by Wayne Rooney, Tom Cleverley and Fraizer Campbell.
It is about 24 hours before another match against Portsmouth at Nigeria, SAF decided to throw his youngsters into the field. I am not sure who will break into the first team next season as judging from one game will be unfair, however i think Frazier Campbell and Lee Martin played quite well.
The short tournament also raised R100,000 for the Goals For Miracles campaign and as the last game finished, it raised R400,000 for the charity.
You can find complete report at the official side, as my point on this match report is a simple statement:
God I miss Manchester United FOOTBALL!!
God I miss Manchester United FOOTBALL!!
Been tortured by shitty soap opera news all this summer that watching another Manchester United football match has cheered my heart so much.
Glad to see the lads win, come on you Reds!
Sir Alex Denied Chelsea Jibe
Thoughts July 26th, 2008
Ok. That’s it. Newspapers are going mad. They still sell even at slow football season thanks to Ronaldo and Roman Calderonista saga, now they want every peace of Manchester United meat: quoting that SAF dismissed Chelsea chances to win the title, Tevez also want to play Real Madrid blah blah blah… What next?
At the official site, SAF denied Chelsea jibe which responded with smile by big nose Phil and a bit of wrath from the oldest member of the blue squad, Michel Ballack (is he? I don’t know, i don’t care). As Euro is over and Ballack’s team again hit record as second winner, my hate is pointing at him again as the enemy of Reds.
SAF also denied Carloz Tevez backed Ronaldo to off Old Trafford to somewhere in Spain, i don’t know.
So it’s clear, not only they crazy but (most) major media really suck.
Go read fan blogs.
Condolences to Wes Brown and Family
condolences July 22nd, 2008
Wes Brown will fly home early from South
Africa tour following the death of his pregnant sister. This is a further blow after his father, Bancroft, died in February.
My deep condolences and sympathy to Wesley Brown and Family. All my heart and mind is with you.

Drawn with Kaizer Chefs, SAF Hit Back at Levy
SAF, match results, players, premiership July 20th, 2008
Manchester United drawn 1-1 against Kaizer Chefs, yesterday at Vodacom Challenge in South Africa. Young Chris Eagles scored the equalizer in the 59th minute.
On other news, Sir Alex had hit back to Spurs’ boss Daniel Levy:
It will be “very embarrassing” for Tottenham if they decide to carry out their threat to report Manchester United to the Premier League. But you know what Daniel Levy is like. He’s different.
Sir Alex maintains he never mentioned anyone by name when he revealed they had tabled a bid for a player.
Ferguson claims his remarks were misreported by a national newspaper and that United may now bring in their legal team.
Ha ha Levy.
Reds Related Roundup
RRR July 19th, 2008
Been a while since my last Reds Related Roundup. But news are flowing through the world wide web and there are some interesting things going on relating to Manchester United.
- Soccerlens : Is Sepp Blatter a Marxist?
- United legend Gary Pallister: Speak Up Ronaldo!
- Manchester Evening News: Saha misses African Tour (again?)
- The Boss is confident that Owen Hargreaves will be fit at the start of the season.
- Spurs’s chief blasts Fergie (at least we table the money…).
Do i miss something? Oh yeah.
Clichy (Arsenal defender) compare Robin Van Persie with Ronaldo. Ok, i admit Robin Van Persie is scary. He netted some goals to our team. But comparing him to Ronaldo? Ehhh… Is this a wrong English translation from the French defender quote or what?
Anyway, have a great weekend.
The Boss: Ronaldo Will Stay
SAF, news July 19th, 2008
Quick update:
- Reported by Manchester Evening News (i don’t buy other newspaper on this), Sir Alex Ferguson has met with the Portuguese winger. The boss is firmly believe that Reds no. 7 will play in Red Uniform (oh no, that away kit is terrible…!) next year.
- Patrice Evra has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association following the post-match brawl that marred the Premier League clash at Chelsea in April.
- SAF also confirmed the club’s bid for Dimitar Berbatov.
- Hargreaves injured and was out of list for the club’s Africa pre-season tour, but believed to be fit for the start of next season.
I guess these news are good news. I can go to sleep now.
Ooopss… i almost forget, EAT THAT REAL MADRID!
New Direction of Manchestered.com
Thoughts July 17th, 2008
Been planning this for a while and i guess there’s no better time to start it out in the near future since the new season will begin shortly.
After trying out installing some new CMS applications on this Manchester United Blog (a Wiki and a Social Voting), i guess it’s time for me to start a blog with and for my fellow Indonesians.
By far i have 1 contributor and we will start to manage the operational of this blog together. However, we’re open for new team members as we plan to expand and want to be the best Manchester United Blog Indonesians can offer. Sounds ambitious remembering that so many forums and fan clubs are out there but, hey, this is internet content era, who knows if we can produce the best interesting contents continuously and gather the biggest crowds?
Anyway, it hasn’t happen yet so we’ll be focus our effort to achieve that.
