That Boy Ronaldo Score the Winning Goal

fixtures September 29th, 2007

So we gain another 3 points from stubborn Steve Bruce’s Birmingham City. Another thin 1-0 win proves that lack of goal scorers bring us to this strange start for the EPL campaign as defending champion. But that boy Ronaldo saves us again today and bring us 2nd on table. A win is a win, I’m delighted. So delighted.

My highlight on EPL this Saturday:
1. Portsmouth vs Reading was super cool.
2. Liverpool saved by the substitute Benayoun because hispanic golden boy couldn’t find space to score.
3. Arsenal saved by referee’s misjudgement for Ljungberg’s goal and gain another 3 points to top the table.
4. Chelsea, who?
5. Man City possessed a cool performance, or Newcastle just played too bad?

Whatever, what matters is Manchester United win, so Monday can be a good day at work.

Let’s cheers.

Manchester United is The Richest Club In The World

business, club September 28th, 2007

Forbes announced that Manchester United is the most valuable soccer team in the world with estimated value around US $1,453 million and also the most profitable football club in the world with a $92 million in operational income (EBIT).

Other team that has the most value change (growth) is Olympic Lyon beating out all other team include Manchester United with a 6% growth from last year.

What i fear is that Manchester United has 84% debt/value ratio beating out Arsenal’s despite The Gunners had spent a lot of money building the new stadium. Is this means that the club’s growth leveraged by a huge amount of debt? If it is, then the management board must be in stress because then they will need a huge profit this year before the closing accounting period to keep the debt ratio ’safe’. From what i know, this is dangerous and had successfully killed many businesses. Ouch, no fun.

Embarassing Angry at Work After an Embarrasing 0-2 Defeat

fixtures September 27th, 2007

I have a day job in managerial level so I need to wake up early everyday to make sure that I’m fit for challenges i will face. This is surely my priorities to feeds my family needs but every time Manchester United play, i often sacrifice my sleep time (thanks to GMT + 8 time different) to watch the game on cable. I have about 200 subordinates at work that i could get anger with every time Manchester United has bad game. But last night defeat was surely embarrassing, and the anger at work was too much that become totally embarrassing as well.

However I couldn’t buy Manchester United match ticket (+ plane ticket, accommodation & hotels; hope i could someday) because i’m so far away from Old Trafford but surely i will not buy even a $1 ticket for experimental match strategy that ends with a 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford to Coventry City for another ‘bigger’ cup priorities.

I wonder if i sacrifice that amount money, time and priorities to watch the game at OT just to find an embarrassing defeat.

Oh man I hate to admit but i got angry for this. I’m sorry for the fans that was at OT yesterday and I sincerely hope we can win our next match which i think we should.

Our Precioussssss Win

fixtures September 24th, 2007

Another win for the us. 5 times in a row.

It doesn’t feel as good as when Mournho’s on the bench on the Chelski side, but like Mourinho said, a win is a win, that’s football.

Reactions to Jose’s Exit

coach, management September 21st, 2007

Here are some reflections from different perspectives as related to Jose’s exit from Chelsea:

1. Opponent team fan: GREAT NEWS!

2. Club Manager: AWKWARD!

Birmingham chief Steve Bruce believes Mourinho ‘will not just be a loss to Chelsea but to the Premier League as well’.

3. Chelsea Fan: FOOLISH!

4. Jose Mourinho: HOW MANY JOB OFFERS ARE IN?

5. Referee: I KNOW THIS DAY WILL COME!

Former referee Anders Frisk, who retired from football following Chelsea’s volatile Champions League clash with Barcelona two years ago, felt Mourinho only had himself to blame, explaining ‘with Jose Mourinho’s controversial approach, and then not getting the results, you will get the door slammed in your face sooner or later’.

6. Well it’s a huge loss anyway, for Chelsea…

Jose Mourinho The Next United Manager

conspiracy theory September 21st, 2007

This week, the news about Jose Mourinho’s exit from Chelsea are bigger than football, but i think there’s smart conspiracy theory about the possibility of ex-Chelsea manager joining Manchester United at A-Kick-In-The-Grass.

Cristiano Ronaldo Scored on Lisbon

champions league, fixtures, players September 20th, 2007

Cristiano Ronaldo’s only goal on his return to his old club Sporting Lisbon makes Manchester United began the campaign with a 1-0 win. He put the Red Devils in front after 62 minutes.

The Portuguese winger was taken off to a standing ovation from both sets of fans with four minutes remaining as our side saw out the final few minutes to claim the first three points of the Champions League campaign this year.

Another precious 3 points…

Hope All is Well with Queiroz

coach, management, other teams September 20th, 2007

Rumours from around my sources discussed that Carloz Queiroz, the Old Trafford #2 hint an exit from the reds (here, here, here and here). But today he rubbished the rumors to SkySports.

I feel something is going on but I believe i had seen Queiroz’s great contribution to Manchester United.

Hope all is well.

Michael Silvestre Out

players September 18th, 2007

player-image-15884 Michael Silvestre OutWe don’t like this, as another injury blows announced: Silvestre will be out for the rest of the season. He was stretched off during our win at Everton on Saturday after falling awkwardly.

So Evra is our only left back specialist that left since we had let Heinze go to Real Madrid. But dude, this is the best time for our youngsters like Gerard Pique & Johny Evans to show off their talents.

I’m sorry Mikael, hope you get well soon.

If Your Club is The Best in The World, Why Change?

Thoughts September 18th, 2007

Monday morning at my office always start by arguing who’s the best in EPL.

I met many ‘football fans’. Most of them are changing their favorite clubs year to year, like many of my subordinates.

Sometimes, these new ’successful’ or ‘cool’ or ‘hot’ clubs get silverware they work their ass off. But if not, well, there are plenty of other clubs to choose. These ‘fans’ keep changing clubs, for the sake of glory.

What a retard shame.
